The rate of aerobic energy expenditure (kJoules per min) for males and females when completing weight lifting workouts (100% 8RM, 2 sets of 8 reps, total work time of approximately 19 min or 85% 8RM, 2 sets of 8 reps, total work time of approximately 23 min). There were no significant differences (p > 0.05) between genders or workloads in the absolute rate of aerobic energy expenditure.
