Sports Psychiatry: Strategies for Life Balance and Peak Performance is an important read for understanding the mental and emotional dimensions of sports competition and management.
The goal of the book is to provide sports-specific knowledge necessary to help competitive athletes and coaches deal with adversity and the multitude of emotions that sports can elicit.
The book is best for mental health providers, athletic trainers, and sports medicine practitioners involved in the care of athletes. The book is also helpful for the athletes themselves.
The book is composed of 10 chapters and includes illustrative 13 tables and 9 figures.
